After the sporting failure of the 2022-2023 season, in which Liverpool was left out of the Champions League places, the Reds' board is already working to get the necessary reinforcements that will allow them to return to the top club competition in Europe as soon as possible. To this end, they have hired Jorg Schmadtke as sporting director, as the German could be instrumental in bringing in young talent from the Bundesliga.
Schmadtke knows all the club managers in the German league, as his last job was precisely in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg. In that sense, the Reds' new sporting director would be the key factor to make inroads in the German market and sign the jewels of a league dominated by FC Bayern.
In recent days, Jürgen Klopp's interest in several Bundesliga players, including Micky van den Ven, who plays for Wolfsbug, and Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich, has been mentioned. Both players are of interest to the German tactician and it has been reported that Schmadtke has already begun contacting the relevant teams to inquire about their availability.
However, it has come to light that the Bundesliga's most important jewel, Dominik Szoboszlai could leave RB Leipzig this summer, even though the club would not be interested in selling him, as they know the 22-year-old midfielder's potential.
Dominik Szoboszlai is a Hungarian player who has surprised everyone thanks to his excellent performances with RB Leipzig, which has him valued at 40 million euros according to the Transfermarkt portal, although it is estimated that his price will rise in the coming years. In his contract with Leipzig, there is a 70 million clause that, according to the Bild newspaper, expires on July 15. This clause could arouse the interest of Liverpool and other big teams in Europe.
