There is no going back, Firmino will close out eight years playing on Merseyside this summer. Rumours of a possible renewal faded in midweek, when the Brazilian informed Klopp and the board of his decision to leave next June, when his contract expires and thus become a Free Agent.

Bobby, who has nine goals and four assists this season, will be looking to close the remainder of the season in the best possible way. And if he arrives at the summer transfer window in good shape, he will be able to join another elite club that according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan or even Real Madrid would be after him.

The next few weeks will be intense for the former Hoffenheim player, who will have to pack up and vacate his luxury home worth 70,000 euros, where he was baptised in 2020 as part of the evangelical church. Firmino and Larissa, his wife, have already given notice that they will leave the house in June, hoping to find a destination.

Firmino returned a few days ago after a muscle injury he picked up in Dubai, when Liverpool did a mini pre-season tour after the World Cup break in Qatar, where former coach Tite left him out of the list, being one of the biggest surprises. Now 31, Roberto will sign for his fifth club in his professional career.
