Liverpool could not get off to a good start in the Premier League by rescuing a draw against Fulham in the opening week, although on an individual level it was not bad news for Mohamed Salah, who again broke a league record.
Twice the Reds went behind and were able to equalise thanks to goals from Salah and the debut of Charrúa's Darwin Núñez late in the game. Now Liverpool, having won the Community Shield and after their league opener, will have to turn the page to host Crystal Palace on Monday 15th.
The Egyptian became the first player in the league to score in seven consecutive seasons on the opening day, a feat he repeated at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
There are two other players who have also scored on six occasions, Sergio Aguero and Alan Shearer, but not in succession, while there are two players who rank higher: Wayne Rooney scored seven times and Frank Lampard eight times, but neither in succession.
