In recent years it has become commonplace for Liverpool FC fans to sing along to Dua Lipa's 'One Kiss' during the club's matches at Anfield Stadium and on social media, mainly Tik Tok. The British singer's 'One Kiss' is already another of the anthems that Reds' fans have adopted as their own alongside the traditional 'You'll Never Walk Alone', composed by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. The first time Liverpool fans sang Dua Lipa's song, according to various sports media, was during the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea in 2022.
"One kiss is all it takes. Fall in love with me. I look like all you need," reads the opening lines of the song 'One Kiss', so it seems to have no connection to Liverpool or football. The cause of Liverpool fans adopting Dua Lipa's song as their anthem could be traced back to the 2018 Champions League final that the English club lost to Real Madrid.

The singer performed at the pre-match show and opened her concert with the song 'One Kiss'. As Dua Lipa sang "One kiss is all it takes.... The feeling won't let me sleep," a banner waved in the stands with the image of former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard kissing the 'Orejona', the last Champions League trophy they won in 2005.
"One of the highlights of the night was definitely seeing the video of all the Liverpool fans singing 'One Kiss'. I feel so honoured," commented Dua Lipa. A number of Liverpool fans have shared videos of themselves singing 'One Kiss' on Tik Tok, as well as singing it at both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup finals against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium this year.
"It came at both Wembley finals, so it means a lot. It's nothing like any previous Anfield anthem. It belongs to the 21st century. So the fans embraced it and associated it with our return to the big time," said George Sephton, stadium announcer, referring to Liverpool winning the Premier League again after three decades, the Champions League in 2019 after 14 years, and the two FA Cup finals in 2022.
