Betrayal comes at a high price

In Liverpool, the players who make history will always be loved by the fans, and beyond their level, the dedication of the players makes them mark the history of their stay in Anfield. Liverpool fans remember them with great affection and Anfield will always be their home, so they will always be welcome.
Betrayal is one of the worst things you can do, breaking someone's trust is unforgivable, and Anfield is well aware of this.

That is why Raheem Sterling went from being a player loved by the fans at Anfield to being a player not very well liked at Liverpool, and despite having made a great stay at Liverpool where he won the Golden boy award in 2014, since his departure from Liverpool generated a lot of controversy.

So Raheem is no longer a player well regarded at Anfield, and is that having shone at Liverpool where he scored 23 goals and gave 25 assists in 129 games, and could have done much more but greed seduced him and it was Manchester City who convinced him to sign with them, with an excellent salary. He quickly lost the affection of the people at Anfield for this betrayal.

However upon his arrival at the Etihad Stadium it was hoped that he could be a player who could make history, which he could not be. Although he was a player who won several titles with the Citizens, he was never able to be a consistent player, which has led to him not being able to be a player who really marked the history of a team, so his time at Man City is well remembered but it was not what was expected and the fans ended up hating him.

The beginning of the end for a career that looked set for more

In 2022, at 27 years of age and after seven years of being in Manchester, where their relationship ended very badly, so Sterling came to Stamford Bridge as his last option to show something of his level, however this does not seem to be working the way it was intended, as Sterling has been a player who has not made a difference, which has left the fans of the blues disappointed by the level shown by Raheem.
