The 2022-2023 season was really disappointing for our Liverpool, as the team was left out of the next Champions League and will have to settle for the Europa League. Among the various causes of the soccer debacle is the low level of players who in the past have been important for the team, such is the case of Jordan Henderson.
Hendo has not only been one of the fundamental pillars of the Reds' success in recent years, but he has also established himself as the captain of Jürgen Klopp's team and has given us unforgettable moments such as the Champions League title in 2019 when he was in charge of lifting the trophy.
However, in the last year Henderson has seen his role within Klopp's scheme diminish more and more due to his poor performances. Although Henderson has proven to be a really important player and for many he was the heir to Steven Gerrard, it seems that his time at Anfield has come to an end, as the same fans consider that he is no longer up to the level and that it is time for him to make way for new reinforcements.
In that sense, it would not be surprising if Hendo left the team this very summer, as some other players who were also important for the team's most recent titles also left the club such as Roberto Firmino and James Milner.
During the last match of the England national team against Malta, in which the English team won 4-0, Jordan Henderson was a starter but his level was not enough to complete the match and he came off after 60 minutes. This shows that indeed Henderson is dropping in level and now he is not able to play a full match against a team of a very low level in Europe.
