The Uruguayan has had a difficult first season

Despite being sidelined for six months last season due to a knee injury, Colombian striker Luis Diaz is considered Liverpool's most valuable player at the moment. This was announced by the English website Football365 based on data shared with Transfermarkt, a German website specialising in football statistics.

Diaz, 26, is above other English team references such as Alexander-Arnold, Gakpo, Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez. "Luis Diaz, really? We figured the player who would really cost the most to get out of Liverpool would be Trent Alexander-Arnold, but the algorithm has calculated a sharp drop over the last two years. Diaz has the age and a long contract on his side to keep him ahead of Mo Salah here," the English outlet reported.

For example, the 29-year-old Egyptian Mo Salah is valued at 70 million euros, the same value as the 23-year-old Uruguayan Nunez, who has failed to establish himself with the Reds, while Diaz is said to cost 75 million.

Meanwhile, Liverpool's new signing, Argentinian Alexis Mac Allister, who has just won the World Cup with Argentina and plays for Brighton & Hove Albion F.C., is said to be worth 40 million euros.
