In England there are undoubtedly winning teams with tradition, however, Liverpool is the best team in the Premier League because of its great history and the performance that the team is showing this season makes it clear that they are always a competitive team, worthy of being champions because of the high level shown this season.

Being such a big team, it is necessary to have great players to keep the Reds at the top. So the salary of their best players will be very good, and Mohamed Salah is one of the biggest legends at Anfield, so his salary is £18,200 million per year according to Capology, being the best paid player in Liverpool and one of the best paid in the world.

With this huge salary, he could pay almost or more than half of the total squad of the Reds' next opponents, as Sheffield United is a more modest team. Their best player this season is striker Rhian Brewster, who played for Anfield's youth team between 2015 and 2020.

He currently has an annual salary of £2 million, which is a small fraction of Pharaoh's salary. Making it clear that Salah and Liverpool are well above Sheffield United. Other players on a salary well below Salah's include Vinícius Souza, Gustavo Hamer, Tom Davies, Anel Ahmedhodzic who are key players at Sheffield, yet these four have salaries of no more than £1.7 million. So Salah is on more than half the salary of the Reds' next opponents.

Mohamed Salah and his chance against Sheffield United

The Pharaoh is performing at an extraordinary level this season, scoring a great amount of goals, which has given him the opportunity to reach 199 goals during the Europa League match against LASK. So next game Salah will be able to continue his great history as a Liverpool legend by having the chance to reach his 200th goal.
