Our Liverpool is already working to face the next season and the first step towards the reconstruction of the team goes through the transfer window that is about to begin, in which the Anfield board is expected to make several important moves, even if that means competing with clubs like Inter Milan or FC Barcelona to get the players they want.
It is no secret that Jürgen Klopp and his coaching staff have set as their main objective to reinforce the midfield, because with the departures of big names such as Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner, the German tactician wants to rejuvenate that sector and for this he has set his sights on different young players. In addition, the club has not ruled out the departure of Jordan Henderson to further strengthen the squad.
One of them, perhaps the closest to arrive at Anfield, is Alexis Mac Allister, who won the World Cup in Qatar 2022 with the Argentina national team. Mac Allister would be close to signing with Liverpool, as Fabrizio Romano assured that it is a matter of finalizing details to make it official. But the arrival of the 24-year-old Argentine midfielder would be just the beginning of the restructuring for the Reds who would go for a Barcelona player who also interests Inter Milan.
The player in question is 26-year-old Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie, who plays for Barcelona, with whom he has just been crowned La Liga champion in Spain, despite not getting enough playing time. Given this scenario, Liverpool and Inter have shown interest in the player, but the Anfielders have taken the initiative and have already made a formal offer to Barcelona.
Jürgen Klopp does not want to waste time to strengthen Liverpool's midfield, so they have already made an offer of between 35 and 40 million euros to buy Franck Kessie, according to the portal Anfield Watch.
