Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira said Michael Olise has trained all week with the team, so it is possible he could be with the squad. The other two - James McArthur and James Tomkins - will be too short for them. Apart from the injured, Vieira should have a near full squad to choose from on Monday night.

Liverpool suffer another injury

Liverpool's injuries are of increasing concern. On Friday night it emerged that Joel Matip was the latest player to suffer an injury. Nothing has been confirmed yet, he is a doubt for Monday's game. It would seem that it is time for Joe Gomez to return to the starting line-up.

German manager Jurgen Klopp already has to decide whether to keep Nat Phillips or Sepp van den Berg in the squad. If Matip is absent, as is Ibrahima Konate, then Klopp might have to keep both as third and fourth options.

Kostas Tsimikas returned to training, but Diogo Jota, Thiago Alcantara, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones, Caoimhin Kelleher and Konate did not. Klopp must navigate a tricky start to the season if Liverpool are not to lose ground on their rivals. After Manchester City won their second Premier League game 4-0, it will be necessary for Liverpool to show similar strength against Palace at Anfield.
