Goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros made his first start in midweek in the previous week's 1-0 win over Harrogate Town in the Carabao Cup, before helping Stockport County to their first League Two win of the 2022-23 campaign.

County beat Colchester United 1-0 at Edgeley Park to pick up their first points of the season at the third attempt following promotion from the National League, while Rhys Williams completed 90 minutes for Blackpool, who lost 1-0 to Swansea City at Bloomfield Road.

Billy Koumetio came on as a substitute in Austria Vienna's 2-1 win over TSG Tyrol in the Austrian Bundesliga despite going down to 10 men around the half-hour mark, while Tyler Morton was a 46th-minute substitute in England's second tier as Blackburn Rovers beat West Bromwich Albion 2-1 at Ewood Park.

In Scotland, Leighton Clarkson made his first start for Aberdeen, but the Dons lost 3-2 at home to Motherwell. The midfielder completed 67 minutes of the contest before a forced substitution. In the Premier League, Conor Bradley played 75 minutes in Bolton Wanderers' 0-0 draw with Port Vale after picking up a first-half red card.

Owen Beck, meanwhile, was a substitute in Famalicao's 3-0 defeat at home to Sporting Braga in the Primeira Liga and Jakub Ojrzynski was also a substitute for Radomiak Radom in Poland, who beat Lechia Gdansk 4-1.

LFC Women defender Lucy Parry provided an assist as Hibernian Women beat Hamilton 4-0 in the Scottish Women's Premier League, while Marcelo Pitaluga helped Macclesfield FC beat Clitheroe 3-0 in their first Northern Premier League West Division match of the new campaign.
