Harvey Elliott said it would be a "tough game" against Manchester United at Old Trafford next Monday, despite the opponents' dismal start to the season.

Elliott has played in all three of Liverpool's games this season and signed a new long-term contract last week. But the Reds youngster said his team-mates are determined to make amends at Old Trafford next week, although he said it was not going to be an easy task.

"Man United are always going to be a difficult game at home. We're going to be fully focused and fully fighting and hopefully we can go and put it right this time," he told the media.

How are they coming along?

Erik ten Hag has had a terrible start as Manchester United's new manager. He lost the first two games against Brighton and Brentford. United fans fear their team could concede a lot of goals against Liverpool after Saturday's horror show.

Liverpool: Darwin Nunez's red card against Crystal Palace last night, which caused him to miss the trip to Manchester, may have eased some concerns. Jürgen Klopp's 10 men had to settle for a 1-1 draw and have taken just two points from their opening two games.
