With just under 10 games to go until the 2022-2023 season finally concludes for Liverpool, positive results for the Jurgen Klopp-led squad have simply not been consistently forthcoming, leading to a difficult time for the German boss that has come before him at the club.

Since Klopp's arrival on Merseyside for the 2015-2016 campaign, the German manager has had a couple of unpleasant moments in the dugout as he has gone through a significant number of games without a win, and this has happened precisely in the last few weeks where his team have gone several games without a win.

With defeats to Bournemouth, Real Madrid and Manchester City, as well as draws against Chelsea and Arsenal, Klopp and his players have now gone five games without a win, the last one being on 5 March when they imposed their conditions in an authoritarian manner against Manchester United with that astonishing 7-0 win.

Klopp is within touching distance of equalling his worst win drought in Reds' history

While it might seem that Liverpool's winless run is the worst in the Jurgen Klopp era, the reality is that in his debut campaign they were immediately in a similar situation, going six games without a win, splitting the drought in competitions such as the Premier League, Europa League and League Cup. After that, a win against Aston Villa snapped another run of five draws, the debut year being one of the most chaotic in the Klopp era.
