Football breaks stigmas and prejudices with new rules

As Europe and especially the Premier League has a large multicultural community in several of the teams that make up the English competition, the atmosphere of mutual respect for the beliefs of the players on the pitch has led to the existence of certain rules that help footballers to continue to carry out each and every one of their beliefs to the letter, encouraging this league to eradicate certain prejudices and stigmas that surround the world.

Among the beliefs to which football aims to give total freedom of expression is the religious one, Ramadan being an important celebration for all Muslims who for a whole month are prepared to have stronger relations with Allah through prayer, fasting being one of the rules that must be followed and that leagues such as the Premier League intend to respect even during matches.

According to Sky Sports News, it is understood that the Premier League as well as many competitions across Europe will allow players to break their fast during afternoon matches as they observe the holy period of Ramadan for all Muslim athletes.

Liverpool will be part of these new rules

Within the Reds this rule is to be welcomed, as elements such as Mohamed Salah, Ibou Konate and Naby Keita who are Muslim members, will have the opportunity in this sacred period that runs from March 22 to April 21 to have a break to break their fast as indicated by the religion they practice.
