One of the big questions surrounding Liverpool is when all the injured players will be ready. The one with the most guarded prognosis is midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who picked up an injury since pre-season in July in a friendly match in Singapore against Crystal Palace. Since then he has not featured for the Reds and has less and less space in Jurgen Klopp's team.
At 29 years of age, he is suffering yet another injury in his career, an ailment that has dogged him for the past few years. If the situation wasn't bad enough for him, this is the last year of his contract with the Reds and all indications are that he won't be renewed so next July he would have to look for a new team in the summer transfer window.
This signing was Jürgen Klopp's worst mistake

However, he still has to return to play this season and help Liverpool, who are going through a bad time with the injury he suffered was a muscular injury in the hamstring area. The problem left him out of the squad for the Champions League group stage, in which Liverpool opened the season with a heavy defeat to Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.
His return to the field is expected to take place after the international break, which could be in mid-October, so Jurgen Klopp will have to make a plan to continue building his squad without him in the squad. His long-term injury is in addition to that of Guinea midfielder naby keita, who will also be out for several more days with a muscle problem.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made his professional debut in 2010 with Southampton before moving to London Arsenal in 2011 and after six years with the capital club he arrived at Anfield in 2017 looking to revive his career. With the Reds he has played a total of 133 games and has scored 17 goals although he has never established himself as a regular starter for Jurgen Klopp due to constant injuries. He was part of the squad that won the Champions League in 2019 and the coveted Premier League in 2020.
