Roma lost the Europa League final on penalties to Sevilla. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that after all the formalities, Jose Mourinho went to the Puskás Arena car park to find Taylor and his officials. There were harsh words from the Portuguese, complaints of the highest order and exclamations that could lead to harsh sanctions: "You're a fucking disgrace, you're a fucking disgrace!

"Shame, you agreed with them!... Damn UEFA, damn UEFA", according to Cadena SER, who also said that Roberto Rosetti, president of the referees' commission of the highest European football body, was heard in the corridors of the Hungarian stadium. Mourinho also left his future up in the air.

"I have to fight for these guys and I can't say objectively that I'm staying. I said a few months ago that if I had contact with a club I would tell the owners, I wouldn't do anything in secret. I spoke to the club in December when Portugal was there. At the moment I haven't spoken to anyone because there is no team. I have one more year on my contract with Roma, this is the situation," said José Mourinho on Sky, who endured a nightmare night against the Europa League kings.

The punishment for Mourinho

Given that Anthony Taylor was on the referee's bench, UEFA will have to decide what sanction to impose on the Portuguese coach, although reports in Italy suggest that it will go unnoticed and there will be no punishment. It is worth remembering that for much less, the FA applied a harsh sanction to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after he angrily complained to Paul Tierney, but that will not happen with Mourinho.
