The Manchester United player performed poorly for England

It was a sad farewell to England's Euro qualifying campaign as they played away to North Macedonia on Monday and put in a very poor performance despite playing virtually all of manager Gareth Southgate's star players including Liverpool midfielder Trent Alexander-Arnold while Jordan Henderson was left on the bench.

In the first half the visitors took the lead with a goal from captain Bardhi who, although he missed a penalty on the rebound from goalkeeper Pickford, scored the first goal of the game to send the home stadium into a frenzy and highlight England's poor performance which is a cause for concern ahead of next year's European Championships in Germany.

But within this mediocrity the worst player was the Manchester United defender Harry Maguire who made grotesque mistakes in the first half, especially in the delivery of the ball and in a foul inside the area that for many could have been marked as a penalty but the referee decided not to mark it, provoking the fury of the home team. This led to criticism and even mockery on social networks against the player, who in recent years has seen his performance in both his team and the national team drop significantly.

TAA's fury

Looking in while Harry Maguire was making mistakes as usual, Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold had a moment of anger and frustration which he showed in the middle of the game and which was captured on television in a sign that it was not a good game for England although the Reds player was one of the best performers on the pitch.
