The Argentine Lionel Messi confirmed that he will play next season with Inter Miami of the MLS and even he would already have a date to debut with the Florida team and it would be in the Leagues Cup against Cruz Azul, within the activity of the tournament that faces teams of Liga MX and the squads of the American championship.

Barcelona tried to bring back Lionel Messi after his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, but failed and now the Argentine will play in the MLS for Inter Miami. After the signing of the Argentinian star with the American club was made official, Barcelona issued a statement to make their position known. Barcelona emphasised that the South American wanted a team with less pressure and away from the spotlight he has been under in the last few years of his career.

In Barcelona's message, they say that both the Blaugrana board and Messi's father want to work on a tribute to the Spanish idol. "Both Joan Laporta and Jorge Messi have also agreed to work together to promote a great tribute to a footballer who has been, is and will always be loved by Barça," the message concludes.

Salah's lesson

One of those in the spotlight these days is Salah, perhaps Liverpoo's greatest asset. But Jurgen Klopp doesn't want to hear about it. "Mo [Salah] loves being here and has been part of this," Klopp made clear of the disappointing campaign. "If ever a player comes to me and says 'we didn't qualify for the Champions League, I have to go', I will send him to another club. Take the keys, take the car and go wherever you want," the German explained. "It's not the case with Mo. Nor with anyone else.
