A few years ago the right winger position at Liverpool had a host of players trying to establish themselves in the starting berth with Jürgen Klopp at the helm, with little success until the arrival of Jordan Ibe, an English player who took on an acceptable role in that area of the pitch with performances that promised more from a player who is now experiencing a major decline in his career at the age of 27.

The London-born striker had a promising spell with the Reds when his career was just starting to take off at Wycombe Wanderers, making his debut in 2011 to 2013 as part of the Reds first team with an initial value of 500 thousand euros, a figure that quickly increased with his high level of play to the point of increasing to 7 million euros for the 2016 season, the year in which he also left Merseyside to emigrate to Bournemouth where his numbers increased to 10 million.

Shortly after Ibe's departure, the Egyptian Mohamed Salah arrived at the Reds without thinking that in a short time he would become one of the most important players not only of the Jürgen Klopp era and of the decade but also of the club's history, increasing his value very quickly to the point of becoming Liverpool's highest paid player with figures that now exceed 18 million euros per year.It was clear that Salah would become a Reds legend after a first season that was hard for any striker to match, surpassing Jordan Ibe's four goals and seven assists in almost 60 appearances for the Reds in three years by far fewer games.

Salah the best player for the Reds and the Premier League

As well as holding a number of Liverpool's all-time player records, Mohamed Salah continues to set new records with every Premier League matchday that make him almost unbeatable in the Premier League, with only Erling Haaland the only man in attack capable of equalling and surpassing his figures that Mo' himself is now trying to surpass in the 2023-2024 campaign.
