The transfer market has officially started for clubs in England, and Liverpool wasted no time in making official the arrival of 24-year-old Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, who arrived from Brighton in exchange for 40 million euros.
The signing of Mac Allister was the top priority for Jürgen Klopp from the moment the 2022-2023 season ended, as he considers that the world champion with Argentina in Qatar 2022 can be the key piece for the future project of the team, which will be focused on returning to the Champions League as soon as possible, since last season the team could not finish in the top four of the table.
Despite the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister and the leading role he will have in Jürgen Klopp's scheme, there are still other players who are the team's top stars and undoubtedly the most important player the Reds have is Mohamed Salah, who has established himself as a true legend of the club and is one of the best players in the world, as under Klopp's command he has won every possible trophy.
That is why it is logical that Salah is the highest paid player in the entire Liverpool squad, as the Pharaoh currently earns around 21 million euros a year, and despite having received offers from other teams where they would offer him more money, Salah has rejected them due to the enormous love he feels for our club.
Alexis Mac Allister promises to be one of the best signings in recent years for Liverpool and that is why the board has given him the best salary of his career, as they have tripled what he was earning at Brighton. Mac Allister will earn 7.2 million euros a year with the Reds.
