The second round of Premier League fixtures is already underway and at Anfield, Liverpool beat Bournemouth 3-1 to get their first win of the Premier League season in a match that had Uruguayan Darwin Núñez on the substitutes' bench, but he came on late in the game. Jürgen Klopp's side had come from a 1-1 draw away to Chelsea in the first game of the season, while their opponents had achieved the same result in their opening game, but at home to West Ham United.

In a game that began with a defensive error at the Reds' start, Semenyo opened the scoring for Bournemouth after three minutes, but then Colombian Luis Diaz equalised after 27 minutes and Egyptian Mohamed Salah scored after 35 minutes to give the home side a 2-1 lead at the break. In the second half, Portugal's Diogo Jota scored in the 61st minute to make it 3-1.

With the game settled, Klopp began to move the substitutes' bench and after 85 minutes gave Darwin Núñez an introduction, the Uruguayan striker who ended up playing 11 minutes -scores included- touched the ball six times according to SofaScore data, gave a precise pass, won an aerial duel and lost possession three times.

Darwin Nunez's chance

According to various reports, Jurgen Klopp is considering several changes and one of them would be for the Uruguayan Darwin Nunez to appear in the starting line-up without Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo. The striker scored against Newcastle last season and that would be a factor in his starting line-up on Sunday.
