Since the end of the 2022-2023 season, Jürgen Klopp has made it a priority to sign midfielders who can help Liverpool return to the Champions League as soon as possible. To do so, the German tactician would have in mind to sign one of the big stars of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

It is no secret that Liverpool is in the middle of a rebuilding process, so the main objective of the board and coaching staff will be to sign young players who will become the next big stars of the club. That is why the Reds finalized the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister, a 24-year-old Argentine midfielder who won the World Cup in Qatar 2022 with the Argentina national team, in which he was one of the most important players.

However, everything seems to indicate that the arrival of Mac Allister would only be the first in a long list of reinforcements that will arrive at Anfield next season and, according to various media, he would not be the only great star of Qatar 2022 that would be under the orders of Jürgen Klopp, who is already planning the arrival of one of the most important players of the team that surprised the world.

We are talking about Sofyan Amrabat, a 26-year-old midfielder who currently plays for Fiorentina in Serie A, and who was one of the most important pillars for the Moroccan national team that managed to reach the semifinals of the World Cup. Amrabat was one of the best players at the World Cup, so his arrival at Anfield would be to the liking of Klopp who is still looking to reinforce the midfield.

Amrabat's numbers

Sofyan Amrabat played the entire 2022-2023 campaign for Fiorentina, with whom he played 29 of 38 possible matches in Serie A. At just 26 years of age, the Transfermarkt portal values him at €30 million, however with the rumor that Amrabat himself would be looking to leave the team, Fiorentina could sell him for less than that this summer, as the player only has one year left on his contract.
