Stefan Bajcetic and Bobby Clark, both 17-year-olds from the Academy came on as substitutes in Liverpool's 9-0 win over AFC Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. Both players knew it was a perfect time to make their debuts, after a big lead and the team flowing together.

For Bajcetic, it's a joy after playing two years with Clark and getting to make his debut together at such an important time, he's one of his best friends and he was glad he got to play as well.

Clark understood the game very well, although he thought, after 7 or 8 goals went in that he might score one himself, although he didn't, it was a nice experience, very special and exciting, after the 9-0, it was great for the youngster to see it from the pitch even if it was a few minutes.

Words from the youngsters

Bajcetic: "It was amazing. I think after six minutes it was 2-0. I was on the bench going, "Unbelievable!" and the atmosphere was crazy. We all knew it was a very important game to win, because we needed our first win, and now I hope there's more to come," he said.

Clark: "Every day in training I take it all in and learn from the best. They help you every day in training, they help you learn and improve.... I have to be patient and impress the boss in training. Hopefully, if I keep training well and doing what he wants me to do, hopefully I'll get a chance here," he said.
