The Uruguayan striker is still not showing great progress in communication at Liverpool

Perhaps one of the most complicated situations that a footballer, especially from Latin America, can go through in football in the old continent is with regard to the languages spoken in the different leagues, being precisely that language barrier that sometimes complicates the fluid communication between the player, his coach and teammates, happening in the Reds this situation with the arrival of Darwin Nunez who does not speak English at all.

Although it is known that Nunez had a teacher very early in his contract who tried to teach him the language, it seems that the Uruguayan striker and the issue of learning do not get along at all well, as on one occasion the player himself had already pointed out that the instructions of the coach Jurgen Klopp were often difficult to understand for him, having to use a translator to grasp the idea and be able to translate it on the field.

After those statements made in October 2022, more than one person would think that the South American attacker's progress would be significant once it was revealed that his lessons were continuing alongside his Colombian teammate Luis Diaz, but it seems that his current level of the language still has many shortcomings with the way he communicated in a match with his defensive partner, Andrew Roberton, both relying on signs to understand each other.

Darwin needs plenty of study over the summer

With the end of the season fast approaching for the Reds, Nunez could use some of his free time to continue learning the basics of a language that almost the entire team speaks perfectly, and at least the Uruguayan should know how to communicate and understand ideas in English to be able to perform better on the field, serving as an example the case of Luis Suarez or Sergio Aguero who also suffered with that barrier in the Premier League but ended up with all the necessary knowledge to play and lead their lives in England.
