Whether it's Brazil or simply the retirement of a deserving second spell at the club, the fact is that Real Madrid are not looking beyond 2024 with their current manager, Carlo Ancelotti. That limit is going to bring tails throughout the 23/24 season, basically because it will mark the day to day of the bench of other great clubs of the continent, to legends of the white club and especially to a name that has sneaked in as a favourite to succeed the Italian.

Álvaro Arbeloa and Raúl González Blanco are two of the figures who appear at the club as harmonious changes with respect to the Italian, not in vain they are already within the discipline merengue, however, sources close to the club assure that they are not the candidates that most like in the offices of the Santiago Bernabéu, but Xabi Alonso, current coach of Bayern Leverkusen and former Real Madrid player.

There has been speculation that Zinedine Zidane or José Mourinho could return to Chamartín when the time comes, but the Frenchman is falling out of the running, including PSG's choice of Luis Enrique, and is still waiting for his chance, while the Portuguese coach of AS Roma, who has also been tipped for Paris Saint-Germain and even the Portugal national team, has not stopped winking at the club over the past season.

Klopp to stay

There are two circumstances in this fact with Alonso. On the other hand, three of the most exciting coaches at Concha Espina, Jürgen Klopp, Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel, have signed long-term contracts with Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern Munich, respectively (the Reds' coach until 2026 and the other two until 2025), so that the possible replacements for Carletto are limited. There is still a long way to go before Ancelotti's departure, but not long enough for the Merengue club not to begin to mobilise.
