Throughout its history, Liverpool has proven to be the greatest team in England and one of the greatest in the world. The fans at Anfield know that our Liverpool is a club that strikes fear into many opponents and that, as a team, the Reds should never be afraid to face another opponent, let alone settle for the minimum, as the team's philosophy is to win as many titles as possible and it seems that Diogo Jota still doesn't quite understand that.

Diogo Jota arrived at Liverpool in 2020, coming from Wolverhampton where he had good performances. Since his arrival at Anfield, the Portuguese has scored 41 goals in 113 games and has won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup with the Reds. However, everything seems to indicate that Jota still does not understand the true philosophy of the team or of our coach Jürgen Klopp.

Last season was a complete and utter failure for Liverpool, as the team failed to qualify for the next edition of the Champions League and that is unacceptable for such an important club on a global level. The team's big stars understand this perfectly, such as Mohamed Salah, who after the end of last season assured that there were no excuses for not having qualified for the Champions League and that the team would do everything possible to return as soon as possible.

However, in his most recent statements, Diogo Jota said that playing in the Europa League was not so bad and that it is a very prestigious tournament. "Although the fans are used to playing in the Champions League every single year and it will feel like a downgrade, it's still a prestigious competition. We'll give our best to win it," he said.

Diogo Jota is afraid of Real Madrid

In addition to assuring that it is not so bad not to have qualified for the Champions League, Diogo Jota made more statements that certainly have not pleased the fans, as he assured that by not playing in the Champions League, he hopes not to face Real Madrid. "They (Real Madrid) can somehow finish third in their group and still be in our way. Since I came to Liverpool, I've always got knocked out by Real Madrid, so hopefully they're not there!" he said.
